Plain terms for using Credos. Read them together with the Risks and Known limitations pages.

What Credos is

Credos is a website that lets you use a set of smart contracts on Robinhood Chain. Every trade, market and claim is a transaction your own wallet signs. Credos does not hold your funds and cannot move them; the contracts hold the collateral and pay out according to their code.

Markets are opened by anyone. A market existing on Credos is not an endorsement of its coin. Credos is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Robinhood or Pons.

No advice

Nothing on Credos is investment, financial, legal or tax advice. Prices are what traders pay, not a forecast by Credos.

Your responsibility

  • You are responsible for whether trading on prediction markets is lawful where you live. Do not use Credos where it is not.
  • You must be of legal age to enter into these terms where you live.
  • You are responsible for your wallet, its keys and every transaction you sign.

Risks you take on

  • A position can lose its whole value. Liquidity providers can lose part of what they provide.
  • The contracts have been through an internal adversarial review. They have not been externally audited, and may contain undiscovered bugs.
  • A market settles from its coin’s onchain price, read by approved keepers. A price moved and held across most readings changes the result, and a market that cannot collect its readings is voided and refunded.
  • The contracts have an owner with the powers listed on The owner page. The owner cannot choose an outcome or move anyone’s collateral.
  • Blockchains can be congested or unavailable, and transactions cost gas.

Fees

Trades pay the fees shown on the Fees page, fixed for each market when it opens. Opening a market costs a flat creation fee plus the liquidity you provide.

No warranty

Credos is provided as is, without warranties of any kind. The website may be slow, wrong or unavailable at times. The contracts keep working onchain regardless, and anyone can settle, void or claim from them directly.

Changes

These terms may change. The date at the top shows when they last did. Using Credos after a change means accepting it.
